Blythe’s First Birthday

Our best girl turned one! I was so excited to plan a fall themed birthday to celebrate. I loved the idea of something involving fall decor but wanted to stay away from a Halloween theme. I decided to do a twist on the Peter Rabbit themes I have seen and do a garden/bunny brunch. The weather was perfect so we opened the doors and had our family and close friends over to celebrate!

Food -

I decided to keep it simple and put in an order two days prior to Chicken Salad Chick so I didn’t have to do any food prep. I was able to do get chicken salad sandwiches, a fruit bowl, pasta salad, and mini rice crispy treats from them. I bought LaCroix and champagne and orange juice for mimosas since it was a brunch party and then bought our very favorite cake from Whole Foods, the Berry Chantilly Cake. It is simply decorated and tastes incredible.

Decor -

I purchased a few yards of fabric from Hobby Lobby and simply folded it to make it into a runner. I chose an olive green stripe similar to this. I didn’t have time to have it hemmed but plan to have it done for future use. I also purchased the little clay pots from Hobby Lobby, along with the faux greenery down the middle. I purchased flowers from our local Trader Joe’s and did a mix of hydrangeas and greenery and put them in vases inside of these sweetgrass baskets I purchased from HomeGoods a few years ago. My mom already had the woven bunnies from Easter so I borrowed them but had originally planned to purchase these moss bunnies from Amazon that are super cute too. Lastly, I bought some carrots, radishes and lettuce at Trader Joes when I did my flower run and put them in this little basket to really add to the garden theme.

Invites -

I ordered the sweetest little invitations from Dogwood Hill. I decided to send them digitally for the sake of time this year and sent them through the Paperless Post app. Uploading my own design was so simple and I was able to send it out by simply adding everyone’s email addresses and then could easily keep track of the RSVPs.
